I came across this today
Government study: Internet 1 percent porn and a few thoughts came to mind.
1) Finally the government is spending some money on things that are important to me.
2) They must have only counted The WWW and of that only parts that weren't protected by passwords and they certainly didn't consider usenet and what is considered porn anyway?
3) Has there ever been a study that actually shows that viewing porn is "harmful to minors"
I'm not advocating showing porn to children, but in my teens my friends and I were always looking for ways to look at porn and we were moderately successful and though this is anecdotal evidence we are fairly well adjusted adults who don't seem damaged by our youthful dalliances with porn. It is still a commonly held belief that sugar makes children hyperactive,
but this isn't the case and it wasn't until it was researched that it was discovered otherwise. Have there been any scientific studies of the effect of porn on minors?
