Cooperation

Post the elections all I've been reading about lately is that cooperation is the main goal now and that partisan politics will stop. And I really want to say fuck that, Clinton wasn't given a break. If Allen forces a recount, I want a to see a bunch people calling him a whiner and sore looser. I want to see the tactics used the by the Republicans used against them, I want to see people calling meetings in rooms and not letting congressmen in and running with gavel and dismissing them. I would like to see all of these things and as much I know it wold make me feel a lot better, I know it would be wrong and that it why I won't encourage it, but boy would it be nice for just for once to give those fuckers a taste of their own medicine. What I do encourage though is that investigations will be started and the people will be held accountable, in the hopes that the next time the Republicans are in power they'll know that they won't get off the hook for the crimes that they've committed.

The Republicans are sore losers indeed. You know that Macaca Allen will demand a recount. My sister said that today, GW actually said he didn't know where everyone got the idea that he wanted to 'stay the course'. Oh, I don't know, maybe it was the 30 times he said it. And Joe Liebermann should hold my party hostage for anything he wants. They left him to twist in the wind, he toughed it out, and the 'party' owes him. They expect him to caucus with them after they screwed him.

Joe Liberman shouldn't have been a sore looser himself and not run.

Agreed, sour grapes on his part, for sure.....but obviously he was right in terms of what he was thinking about winning in a three-way contest. Nearly everyone doubted that. Would Lamont have been able to win as the Democratic candidate, with 'Jomentum' out of the mix? We will never know, but perhaps not. And IF not, we don't have the Senate. So I say we all let go of what was, and make sure Liebermann caucuses with the Democrats. I'm sure all they'll have to do is offer him the Chairmanship of some sub Committee, or whatever the hell else he demands.
