Maybe Not Cause and Effect, but Certainly a Link

There are two news items today that seemingly wouldn't be linked but I think otherwise. The first is the sad news of the passing of Coretta Scott King. The second is the sad news of the nomination of Sam Alito to the Supreme Court. I wonder if seeing someone who will mostly likely roll back her hard work put her over the edge and ended her will to live.
