And Because No Day Is Complete

Without sharing info from the American Family Ass.
SCHOOL DISTRICT SUED AFTER CHARGING BIBLE CLUB UNFAIRLY FOR ACCESS
A sponsor of after-school Bible clubs for public schools has filed a lawsuit against one California school district in an effort to stop what an attorney with Liberty Counsel contends are discriminatory access fees.

No I'm not going to link to it.

Basically the Ass. is pissed off because a California school district, who doesn't want to break the law, is charging, again in accordance with the law, a religious Bible study group to use the facilities. I think there a few good ways to stop this shit, first is have Koran study group, second start a Satanic study group, third start a evolution study group and finally start another Bible study group that will critically look at the Bible and point out a lot of its failing and also point out the hypocrisy of the people claim to be "Bible believers" and hate on things like pre-marital sex and homosexuality, but then don't follow the rules when it comes to eating shrimp, having multiple wives and stoning to death people who don't keep the sabbath.

A couple of things. Regardless of California law the U.S. Constitution says, that the government shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. There are far too many who are really, really good at the (not respecting) part but need to put forth just a little extra effort on the (not prohibiting thereof) second part. If a California school district charges fees to a bible study group but not to a secular group it sounds like religous discrimination to me. (The Boy Scouts are a non-denominational religous group by the way.)

I don't know of any instance where a Koran group or even a Satantic group caught as much flak as a bible group. Lighten up people.

Secondly, a lot of those "rules" of the Old Testamnent were rescinded in the New Testament. I don't have all day to research this but see for example, Matthew 15:11 and Colossians 2:16 as it pertains to eating shrimp. Jews don't acknowledge the New Testament but Christians do. I don't know if the Bible study people eat shrimp or not, but they aren't hypocrites if they do. Apparently, they have studied the new testament.
