Set Preview As Default for PDF on Mac OS X

I made the stupid mistake of trying of set Acrobat as my default viewer for Safari, now I want to change it back to Preview.app but it doesn't seem to stick, I've tried doing from the Info dialog --> change all but it doesn't seem to change Safari, any suggestions?
Update
If you reinstall Adobe Acrobat and go into the preferences you can turn it off. Which seemed to work for me.

I found this post while searching for other information about Adobe Acrobat. In case you haven't already figured out the solution to your problem, it's actually very easy to change Safari's PDF handling back to the default. Simply open Adobe Acrobat (I use Acrobat Professional version 7.0.3 on Mac OS 10.4.2) and choose "Preferences" from the Acrobat menu (the main pull-down menu next to the Apple logo). In the preferences box, find the "Internet" category on the list at left and highlight it. The top "Web Browser Option" in this category will read "Display PDF in browser using Adobe Acrobat (your version)" and it will be checked. Uncheck it and click the "OK" button. If Safari is running, quit it and re-open it. That's it, you're done! Safari will then return to normal, opening PDF documents with Apple's own "Preview" application. If you later decide you want Adobe Acrobat to be opening your PDFs after all, use the same process.

Good morning dan, I find it quite refreshing to occasionally find a post such as yours with a different topic completely. It somehow ads to ones little list of lifes experiences.

I seem to have a soft spot for blogs related to
# #LINK## and /or sites that have a central theme around submit articles type items. I guess this comes from being a webmaster as well.

There's a way to do it without reinstalling Acrobat. Control click on a PDF file. Choose "get info" from drop down list. This will open a box with a lot of info. One of the last items on the list is headed "open with." Adobe will be marked as the default. Choose Preview and press the button "change all." Now all future PDF's will open with Preview once again (which I agree is much better than Acrobat for Mac, even version 8.1.0, the latest in early 2008).

Yes, thanks Brett, that is a great tip. Indeed Preview is much better. Acrobat Reader had set itself as my default for reading all PDF documents when I accidentally launched it.
